This Chinese Carnelian is carved showing a bird and flowers. It is one of the Antique pieces I acquired after trade was opened by Mao. The dark Carnelian beads are modern and African and one is fitted with a hidden clasp so the flow of stones is uninterrupted.

I was not told when I purchased and used this Aquamarine many years ago that it had been enhanced. Not all dealers, even today, disclose whether stones have been treated or not. Since the color of these stones is so perfect, I now suspect they may have been. So do not expose them to UV or moisture, if possible.
