Description

Rhyolite fascinates me. I never tire of looking at the variety of their colors and patterns. Rhyolite is of volcanic origin and is fine grained because it cooled quickly, being near the surface. The two stones used in this set are found in several areas of the world.

This piece came together as a result of moving the solid green jaspar chevrons around to see if I could find a new way of combining them. I was surprised and pleased with the result. All I had to do was to select the beautiful but delicately sized cylinders to hang the five chevrons from, add some 14K Gold Filled beads and clasp to it and it became one of my most unusual creations.
