Description
The carved stone featured in this piece of jewelry reminded me of the Mayan stonework I saw in the Yucatan during annual visits there. I bought only one at the time and can’t find another one now, though I will keep looking. The pink, opaque stone sometimes has beautiful black tracery when found in the manganese mines of Sweden. This Rhodonite is from sources in the U.S. and includes the cylindrical beads.
The 8 mm round beads are rhodocrosite which comes from caves where manganese has colored stalagtites and stalagmites and is much rarer.
